yesterday dad left to go to san fransisco. all i know is he better bring back some presents for his favorite daughter!
last night i went to the evening service at church where the whole mission trip team was to talk to the congregation about new york. it was a lot of fun talking about all the crazy times on that trip. gregg messing with the showers and corinne and my sweet revenge on him, me sitting in gum, etc etc. then i went to rockfield creative playground (i love that place...i'm a kid inside) and then to see "the devil wears prada." i thought the movie could have been better, but it was decent. funny in the beginning then, as henry put it, "sad because her life sucked at the end." now i'm just killing time before work, but i have run out of things to say. later, dudes.

so i have been yelled at by naomi (who, for the record, i don't even think HAS a blog) for not updating but i at least have a reason for not posting in the last week. i was in new york on a mission trip with my youth group. we went to brooklyn liberty port church of the nazarene and did some small projects there. my job was to paint worship banners for the sanctuary:

aren't you all proud you have such an artistic relative? you should be. other pictures that made me smile:
this is corinne. she's crazy. hence the shirt.
we saw some pretty weird mannequins. couldn't miss a photo op.
we found some toilet paper that said "wipe out terrorism" and had a picture of bin laden on it. i laughed.
barbie house! part of the 3-story toys r us in times square
this picture is sideways BUT it's a wall that was donated by...a show who's name i forget at the moment but it is signed by a lot of famous people like cindy crawford, jimmy carter, randy travis, liam neeson, etc. they're selling it on ebay and i just thought it was cool. i'll put up more later :-)

we got home pretty late last night, and it was rough getting up for work this morning. however, thanks to my darling aunts and cousins my diapering skills were sharper than ever. i even got off early, a whole 2 and a half hours early.
then we had a softball game. it was close, but we still lost 7-5. but my team member's "male friend" brought a grill and made us hot dogs and burgers, which were wonderful if a bit charcoaly.
and today's humor: at 9:30 mom decides she wants some cold stone ice cream so dad and i trek down there. it's thundering, but no rain. by the time we get our ice cream, it is pouring out. dad has the brilliant idea to have me go get the car so he can "protect the ice cream" and since i'm such a wonderful daughter, i agree. as soon as i stepped outside, i was soaked and i started running. i lost my shoe, however, and half of the customers in cold stone began to laugh. i got to the car and i was dripping wet, then i had to pull into another parking spot to get my dad, open the door for him, pull in the driveway at home so he could get out then run up after i parked in the street. what a wet, drippy mess. the ice cream was good, though = D

so today i had a softball game. i left my house at 8:30 and got back just a few minutes ago. seems like it took forever. BUT, we won! 22-1! i don't think we've ever had 22 runs. even if you add up ALL our runs for the entire season, i don't think they would total 22. it's amazing. but it was really hot outside, and i'm glad to be back in the air conditioning. HOWEVER, if my dad would buy me a trampoline *cough cough* i would probably be out exercising on it now. silly dads.
